GDP – Good Distribution Practice

GDP – Good Distribution Practice

The newly founded GDP working group is an exciting and inhomogeneous group of different industries. From the service provider to the consultant, the transporter/logistician to the pharmaceutical manufacturer, every branch affected and involved in GDP is represented.

Understanding and defining the needs of manufacturers, transporters, service providers and correctly implementing them in processes is therefore the first important goal that the new GDP working group now intends to achieve.

Our vision is to publish guidelines and, with the help of participants, experts and possibly involved pharmaceutical associations, raise them to the “state of the art”. “Lean” should be clearly in focus, interfaces to GMP and ISO should be transparent, but at the same time the requirements should not be overrated (no or only conditional “GMP glasses” in audits). The members of the GDP working group should and want to gradually become experts in the GDP area. The dialogue with authorities and associations should be actively sought in order to fundamentally coordinate the requirements with the considerations made.
